Far away from the town , restaurant n store.

The place is too far and five minutes walking. The room is clean and nature surrounding. No restaurant or store close to the resort. Staff are friendly .

You have to take tricycle and then walking 5 minutes to reach the place.

Very beautiful location

The hotel is in a very beautiful, quiet area.

The distance from town is pretty far. It's confusing to find and they don't make it easy to get to and from the town. There was also some kind of animal living in the roof of the room we booked which was scratching in the night.

Very nice and private location at the beach with great staff

The location cannot be approached by car of tricycle. The staff will help you by carry your luggage over the beach for ca. 5 minutes

What was the highlight of Garden Bay Beach Resort El Nido

The best choice in El Nido (if you don't mind walking)

If you can walk and want to avoid crazy crowds of El Nido that's the best choice in the area. Spacious, comfy huts, quiet location, good restaurant, helpful, always available stuff. El Nido itself is so overcrowded now, that hardly make sense to visit (including overpriced boat trips), we were very happy that we've chosen that peaceful corner. We knew about the road, but not only it wasn't as scary, as people described, but if you go to the town, you can just follow the beach (20min walk). But if you arrive with luggage, I strongly advise to arrange pick up with resort as most tricycles in town can get only to the Corner, where their can get roughly 300m from resort (last part of the road is on the sandy beach). They can arrange boat trips too, if you really want to find what crowd means (if you want a pleasure trip, go to San Vincente).

There are no mosquitoes. Really. We've spend a fortune on repellent sprays and we haven't use it at all. Disappointing... Apart from that it's worth to mention that bay there is not swimmable, shallow and full of seaweed (whole coral was killed around El Nido). Still, good for relax, looks pretty.

Wonderful!

Amazing, very helpful and friendly staff. The food in the property is very tasty and good options for breakfast, either western or Philippino. The location is a paradise, very secluded with a private beach. Perfect if you want to relax. Apparently they also have a honeymoon suite. Very highly recommended. If we happen to go back to El Nido, Garden Bay will be our choice of stay.

Given its remote location, we recommend that you rent a motorbike/scooter.

The property was really nicely located in walkable distance...

The property was really nicely located in walkable distance to El Nido town, but still being in a peaceful area. We used the offered transport to town several times and it worked quite well. Also, the room was clean.

The room was smaller than expected and did not really offer any storage room. The biggest drawback was the fact that we could not close our room, as the lock was broken. We told this to the receptionist, who said she will fix it while we are going to town (because it was quite late already), but when we came back, it was still open. So better check early that it is ok.

What was the highlight of Garden Bay Beach Resort El Nido

Great place but DON'T book the cabins without airconditioning!

This is a great location out of the city of El Nido. They use bottled water and we did not worry about the food or drink. Runa and Rena were wonderful. Runa arraigned tours for us. Tip: If you buy your tours through the hotel, they will track your Environmental Fee number and you only pay once. If purchased in town, you most likely will not receive a number and will have to pay each day. The tour boats are only a short walk away.

I booked the "2 Bedroom Bungalow with Fan". It now is now listed as a Loft which more accurately describes it. I knew it wasn't airconditioned, but I thought the ocean breeze would cool it. IT DOES NOT! This is the about the only area on the property that is in the direct afternoon sun. The second floor has windows, but the eaves come down below them effectively preventing ANY cross ventilation. We had 4 fans going, but there was also no way to vent the hot air from the ceiling area of the cabin. A window on the tall wall to vent the hot air would help! Also needs some hooks in the shower area to hang towels and clothes!. I would definitely stay here again. Just would NOT be in this cabin!!!

Overall nice stay. Day to day staff were exceptional but manager was not friendly or professional.

The day to day staff was very friendly and went above and beyond to make our stay enjoyable sadly the male manager was less friendly and unprofessional and lacking of hospitality management experience / etiquette.

The manager was unprofessional and unfriendly.

My husband and I had an amazing stay at this place.

My husband and I had an amazing stay at this place. From the time we arrived till the sad end of our trip here. The staff are amazing the food is great! I had them make me a shake every morning with banana mango and all my own little ingredients to add. The staff are more than helpful with everything from booking trips, ferrys, scooters everything you need. We will miss everyone at the resort including Nora the dog. Thanks for everything John and Jen
